A digital illustration of a woman with long, flowing hair lies on the ground, bleeding, while another pair of hands wields a knife made of bone. Magical patterns cover both of their skin.

LIAR’S BLOOD

Book One of the Fringe-Born Saga

Hello!

Newt here. Author, artist, maker of mayhem.

I’ve always been drawn to fantastical and grim stories. I am obsessed with excruciating heartbreak, redemption arcs, and characters that are lovable and hatable in equal measure, so you’ll find a lot of that in my writing. I don’t shy away from depictions of mental illness and trauma, because I believe speculative fiction is one of the best ways of exploring these themes.

When I’m not binge-writing my next manuscript or geeking out over blood oath-based magic systems, I can be found cuddling my (cat) sons, cackling at inside jokes with my partner, or climbing rocks.

Like my particular brand of mayhem? Get a front row seat to my ramblings on Threads (@newt_writes_fantasy).

As a note, I tend to favor chaos over order. You have been warned.
